This is such a fun yo yo! It's not special. It doesn't light up. It goes up and down, just like it's supposed to. It arrives with the string in a matter that it can spin at the end of string freely and you can 'pop' it up when you want. My kids prefer it to come up automatically so all you have to do is thread the yoyo through the loop and it comes right back. The two sides do not separate or unscrew. That's better in my house anyway. The size is great for kids and the butterfly design helps when you may be learning to do some tricks. Just a great starter yoyo.

I wanted my kids to experience the fun of an old school yo-yo. I bought first an imperial. It was good, but they seemed to have a hard time with it. The butterfly is a little easier to do. Very good.
