We got these so the kids would have something easy to look at under a digital microscope and now they play with them all the time. The specimens look great and the resin is very clear. These are far superior to the "Geoworld Bug's World Collection of 10 Real Insects". Highly recommend.

Fantastic! These are clear, easy to see, the bugs are colorful, there are no bubble or occlusions--essentially, they look like you should have spent two to three times as much as these cost. A fabulous gift for anyone who likes, um, bugs.

Worth the extra $
Although this kit is a little more pricey than similar ones on Amazon it is worth it. I bought 2 Celestrion Kits and 1 GeoWorld kit. The Celestron kits had more vivid color, zero air bubbles and the actual specimens were larger and easier to see with or without a microscope.

My son's favorite gift
My kids love these, I bought them for my son who is four but his younger sister (who is almost 3) loves them too. Just the right size that they can't be swallowed if you have tiny kids around, their 1-year-old sister sometimes picks them up too! I highly recommend these!

I bought this, the large scorpion and a nice magnifying glass for my six year old great nephew, who I nicknamed the Lizard Stalker if that tells you anything about him, for his birthday and he absolutely loved them and looked at them for hours. I love to buy gifts that educate and he definitely was learning because he asked a million questions about the different bugs, does my heart good.

These looked so much better than the picture. The sizes were really big compared to what i had imagined. The ant was super huge so you can't scale it to a regular sized ant. I keep them on a low window sill and the kids cant stop playing with them. They are really neat.

These are a really nice size. Bigger than expected, as I've been ordering these type of items over the last 15 yrs., they seem to get smaller and smaller....not these !! Could not be happier. Very clear from all directions.

Makes for a unique gift!
I gave these as a gift to my friend's son, but they were so cool I almost wanted to keep them for myself. All four were in good condition, and the acrylic blocks had no bubbles in them. The chafing bug is a beautiful emerald green. My son's friend loved them, especially since he could keep them in his pocket without worrying about crushing them. Makes a great gift for any bug-loving person.
